Independent mobile media and technology company,
Buongiorno S.p.A, has won a contract with
Hutchison 3G UK Limited for outsourcing Australian 3G wireless network provider, 3 Mobile, and its Java Games Platform in the UK and Ireland.
Mobile games have become one of the prime necessities of many mobile phone holders today. With the availability of high-end phones and advanced network services, mobile games are gaining more popularity. Several reports confirm that currently, a quarter of the UK's mobile users play games on their mobiles. Buongiorno is addressing this situation by teaming with 3 Mobile to offer the most comprehensive mobile games experience to customers in UK and Ireland.
3 is a mobile operator with the credit of operating Britain's best high-speed Mobile Broadband network which covers almost 93 percent of the UK population. The company is still working to expand its reach to more than 98 percent in 2009.
Buongiorno has been offering a wide range of infotainment applications and contents for mobile operators, Internet portals, broadband ISPs and media companies. This current bid will be the first significant implementation of a Games Store by Buongiorno since the merger with the UK's
iTouch last year, and the first to be implemented by the group in the UK and Ireland.
"Buongiorno's Games Store enables 3 Mobile to maximize revenues by providing a personalized retail experience to their customers. It has been designed to personalize the browsing and purchasing experience on a one-to-one basis according to the taste and budget of each customer,” said Luca Pagano, managing director of Buongiorno UK.
“With the mobile Internet becoming ever more competitive, delivering the best customer experience is the key selling point," added Pagano.
The new site will offer some of the interesting titles from all the major content providers, thus positioning the site as the UK and Ireland's most comprehensive and up-to-date mobile games shop.
The service will be available on both WAP and Web, and will be managed by Buongiorno, confirmed the company. Buongiorno also stated that the new offer will be marketed through Games Club and several other offers which will attract the customers.
Buongiorno added that its Java Games expertise will be used to create a dynamic personalized service-interface to increase the relevance to each user, and also enable personalized pricing of content.
Buongiorno recently acquired iTouch, a provider of entertainment services, messaging services and mobile marketing services. The acquisition has further expanded Buongiorno’s reach and the company currently serves 53 countries on five continents and has partnered with nearly 100 cellular companies globally.
