FusionOne Joins Roundbox Developer Program

By Arun Satapathy September 11, 2008
Roundbox, a mobile broadcast software provider, announced that FusionOne, a provider of mobile phone content backup, management, and transfer services, has joined the Roundbox Developer Program.

This will help FusionOne to broadcast-enable its applications, allowing subscribers to experience the power of high-speed content delivery over broadcast networks.

"Mobile broadcast networks are changing the paradigm for content delivery," said Vinod Valloppillil, vice president of product marketing at Roundbox. "Delivering content to multiple devices simultaneously becomes even more critical as phones are used to access all types of multimedia. Coupling FusionOne's client application with Roundbox's software gives mobile operators a means to offer mobile datacast services that dramatically reduces the cost of delivering multimedia content. We are excited to have FusionOne join the program."

FusionOne, which is one of the early members of the Roundbox Partner Program, helps people access, manage, and protect the information and applications on their mobile phones. Their powerful turn-key service offerings include MightyBackup, which provides for user-friendly mobile phone content backup, management, and transfer, and an overall advanced wireless synchronization approach that brings "smartphone" functionality to everyday phones. These services are made available to wireless subscribers through partnerships with operators, mobile phone makers, and select retailers.

"Our relationship is a natural fit as broadcast will allow us to be more efficient in transferring content between mobile devices," said Mohan Sadashiva, senior vice president of marketing at FusionOne.
