An innovator in mobile music and entertainment, mSpot today announced new additions to their marketing team. Aline Yu will serve as the new vice president of marketing and Gregg Brown will function as the director of product marketing.

Founded in 2004, mSpot gives consumers access to music, custom ringtones, live radio and videos on their mobile devices.

“mSpot’s innovative technology and positioning require experts with a particular combination of industry background and business savvy. The expertise Gregg and Aline bring will be vital as we work to propel mSpot to its next level of growth in the year to come,” said CEO and co-founder, Daren Tsui.

As Director of Product Marketing, Gregg Brown works with carriers to manage the marketing of mSpot’s award-winning products and find new opportunities for mSpot’s mobile and entertainment products.

Before joining mSpot, Brown worked at both AT&T Mobility and Verizon Wireless. While at AT&T, he was responsible for its Music Strategy, Planning and Products division where he helped create and launch AT&T’s acclaimed Mobile Music service in 2007.

As the new mSpot Vice President of Marketing, Aline Yu will be responsible for product marketing, product management, and marketing communications. A veteran of product management and consumer/tech marketing, Yu brings experience from two mobile businesses – Kodak Mobile and startup SkyGo. Most recently, Yu worked at Adobe Systems. Aline has also worked at Broderbund Software, Procter & Gamble and McKinsey & Company.

Also in recent news for the company, mSpot announced it surpassed the four million mark in subscribers – a significant 260 percent increase since July 2007. The announcement marks the latest milestone for the fast-growing Silicon Valley company.
