Turnkey Mobile Content Syndication Solution Announced by Myxer

By Calvin Azuri July 29, 2008
Myxer, a provider of ad-supported mobile content, announced its new Myxer Select program created for mobile handset manufacturers, wireless network operators, and Web destinations. The program provides the ability to create a customizable mobile content store by selecting content from over one million items in the world's largest assembled collection of mobile content. Myxer Select partners can have their own mobile content download site either on the web or via mobile web within.

The Myxer Select program is delivered on the award-winning Myxer Mobile Platform, which is a robust, scalable, and proven mobile content delivery platform currently delivering more than 22 million downloads each month at a rate of more than eight mobile downloads per second.

“From ad-supported indie rock to traditional premium content, Myxer Select offers a complete mobile content store-in-a-box that takes advantage of our huge collection of great content, our unparalleled scale and relentless focus on simplicity,” aid Myk Willis, CEO of Myxer, in a statement. “Over 11 million users currently enjoy Myxer's vast collection of mobile ringtones, wallpapers, games and videos. With this new program operators and manufacturers can create the same customized branded experience for their own customers.”

Myxer Select offers content from thousands of content partners. This content ranges from music to comedy, movies, popular TV shows, and political content. Partners can easily customize their Myxer Select catalog to suit a target audience and supplement Myxer's syndicated content with their own mobile content. For even greater personalization, partners have the opportunity to work with Myxer’s content providers in creating exclusive branded content. Myxer Select is offered as both Myxer-branded and Private Label storefronts.

Myxer is reputed to be one of the largest and fastest growing sites for free ad-supported mobile content. The company maintains more than 11 million users; over 22 million mobile downloads each month; and a catalog of more than 1 million ringtones, wallpapers, videos, and games. The corporate website does not feature any hidden costs, subscription fees, or other surprises.

Content providers, advertisers, and consumers receive simple and quick delivery of content or customized Web to mobile ad campaigns from Myxer's mobile platform, regardless of the service provider or the type of mobile device being used. The company was named the "Key Market Enabler in U.S. Mobile Advertising" by Frost & Sullivan in 2008 and was recognized as the Best Music Service at the 2008 Mobile Entertainment Forum. It was also acknowledged as the Best Consumer Messaging Application at the Global Messaging Awards 2008.
