Mobicom, a provider of telecommunications services in Mongolia, will partner with Celltick to deploy that company’s LiveScreen Media platform for delivering sponsored and ad-funded content to mobile phone idle-screens.
Celltick Technologies is a U.K.-based provider of active content discovery and interactive broadcast solutions. LiveScreen Media is the company’s flagship product that allows content providers and advertisers to broadcast messages to idle mobile screens.
Through this partnership, Mobicom's customers will receive dynamic content ‘appetizers’ when their phones are not in use. These ‘appetizers’ include news headlines, sports reports, weather updates, music stories, gossip and games. To access content of their choice, users would simply have to click twice to be directed to the actual content.
According to Gansukh Burendorj, CEO, Mobicom, “Our mission is to stay one step ahead of the market and to employ the most innovative emerging technologies to create new value for our customers. With LiveScreen(TM) Media our subscribers will be able to receive and access up-to-date informative and entertaining content on their mobile phones.”
The implementation of LiveScreen Media by Mobicom is expected to generate new revenue streams for mobile operators through targeted advertising basis user history. The solution is designed to collect content and marketing messages from multiple sources and match them to dynamic user segments and profiles, ensuring that subscribers receive messages specific to their interests. Celltick’s network of global and local content providers/media agents is an added advantage.
Stephen Dunford, CEO of Celltick, said, “We have a strong presence in the APAC region, including Thailand, India, Sri Lanka and Vietnam, and the recent deal in Mongolia represents our growing presence in the area. We are looking forward to building our relationship with Mobicom and helping them explore the potential of mobile marketing in a new and effective way through the use of LiveScreen Media.”
