12snap, a company that specializes in digital marketing delivered using mobile handsets, has established a new office in Finland.
The office makes 12snap the first German mobile marketing company offering its expertise directly in the Finnish market. Also, services for the Scandinavian markets Sweden, Norway and Denmark will be coordinated directly from Helsinki.
The office started operations May 1 and allows 12snap to be even closer to its long-term Finnish clients. Moreover, Finnish brands are showing a growing interest in mobile marketing strategies and have already conducted first mobile campaigns. At the same time, traditional ad agencies are increasingly searching for specialized partners in mobile advertising.
The office is directed by Tiina Laiho who has experience in the areas of marketing and business development. After finishing her MBA studies at the Helsinki School of Economics, Laiho worked at Exxon and Sonera for several years. She also worked at Nokia, where she was in charge of international relationship marketing and handled Nokia's loyalty program, "My Nokia."
"Helsinki enables us to be even closer to our clients and gives us a stronger presence in Europe's most innovative mobile markets," said Michael Birkel, CEO at 12snap AG, in a statement. "With Tiina Laiho, who has already been working for us in Stockholm, the Nordic brands are supported by an experienced industry expert combining deep marketing insight and broad technical know-how."
In the course of entering the Finnish market, 12snap sold its share in the Swedish mobile marketing agency Lokomobil to the local management.
Munich-based 12snap develops marketing and customer loyalty solutions as well as entertainment and utility applications for mobile phones. Earlier this year, 12snap entered into a cooperation agreement with Dynetic, a mobile Internet software specialist from Kaiserslautern. The cooperation enables a complete range of classic mobile marketing, mobile advertising and mobile Internet solutions to be developed, covering all aspects of mobile brand exposure.
