Recipients of Red Herring Europe Award

By Bob Emmerson April 30, 2008
Streamezzo has received the Red Herring 100 Europe award, an honor given to the top 100 private technology companies based in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region.
Streamezzo markets a software suite that enables the development of any rich media service for any mobile device. The client component allows mobile users to access services, such as interactive mobile TV, widgets, portals, and dedicated real-time multimedia services. It can also be used to power the full handset user interface, or customized for dynamic services.
Speakanet’s GoHello was selected based on its ability to handle all company calls using mobile handsets.  This product enables businesses to get rid of traditional telephony systems (analog and VoIP) and allows employees to have just one phone – their mobile.
Francois Mazoudier, CEO said, “GoHello delivers all the features of an office telephony system through any mobile phone – without needing any new hardware or specialist telecoms staff.  The solution takes less than ten minutes to install and does not require a long-term contract.  There is no need for the complicated integration of mobile with the fixed-line as with FMC.”
Miniweb Interactive received its award in recognition of its interactive platform, which enables new revenue generating, enhanced TV business models and the convergence of web and TV content delivery. Ian Valentine, CEO, said. “Our platform drives down the cost of creating and deploying interactive TV Sites across numerous TV distribution networks, bringing the economics of the Web to the TV for the first time.”
