Quattro Wireless, Greystripe to Bring Mobile Gaming to Partner Sites

By Rajani Baburajan August 18, 2008
Quattro Wireless, a provider of mobile advertising network in North America, today announced a partnership with Greystripe, a company that distributes ad-supported mobile games and creates mobile in-game advertising network, to offer online gaming and in-game advertising across select publisher sites hosted by Quattro Wireless.

Greystripe says its AdWRAP product suite offers the benefits of mobile advertising to advertisers, publishers and consumers. The AdWRAP system currently serves ads into more than 800 game titles from 100 publishers supporting more than 1,400 handset models, according to Greystripe.

Greystripe said that it reaches millions of mobile game players by powering over 70 AdWRAP Catalog distribution partners and through its online and mobile Web portal GameJump.com.

CollegeHumor.com is the first Quattro-hosted Web site to deploy Greystripe’s mobile gaming option on their site, said Quattro. CollegeHumor uses Quattro’s network for publishing, hosting and managing advertising sales on its site. The mobile gaming feature added to CollegeHumor will help the Web site create new ad inventory opportunity, and the feature will be white-labeled and will include CollegeHumor branding, said Quattro.

“With over 1 million users monthly, Quattro Wireless recognized a good opportunity to tap into mobile gaming growth and match our content with a key brand and an applicable mobile site,” said Yazid Aksas, director of marketing at Greystripe. “Now, loyal gamers are able to access our site via the mobile web in real time.”

Lars Albright, vice president of business development at Quattro Wireless, said, “We are pleased to offer our customers like CollegeHumor additional functionality like mobile gaming to enhance the consumer experience. The growth in mobile gaming popularity is impressive and we feel this will make the site even more popular with its readers.”

Quattro Wireless provides publishers and advertisers with advertising solution to extend their Internet offering to the mobile Web. Publishers leverage Quattro’s proprietary mobilization technology and interactive feature set to launch dynamic, ad-supported mobile Web versions of their wired Web sites. Advertisers partner with Quattro to design, develop and serve targeted and interactive campaigns to the highly engaged Quattro Network audience, said the company.
