iWidgets Launches Public Beta Version

iWidgets, a company that develops next-generation widget solutions, today announced that it’s launching its public beta version.

 

iWidgets officials say their company is designed to serve brands that can rapidly produce, publish, and promote engaging widgets, and extends their Web sites into social networks and portals such as Facebook, MySpace, and iGoogle.

 

Users can access the public beta version of iWidgets for free, and can visit its Web site to begin creating their iWidgets instantly.

 

Peter Yared, CEO of iWidgets, commented that the enthusiasm of private beta users about iWidgets had made the company aware that the market was ready. He noted that the robust tools by iWidgets provide an unmatched ability to display personalized content from a source Web site without requiring experienced programmers, and it results in a fun, interactive application people want to use and share.

 

A simple drag-and-drop interface is available in iWidgets, and users can deploy it to quickly produce sophisticated, custom-designed widgets that integrate dynamic data such as scores or comments, according to the company.

 

Users can also use iWidgets to display a variety of data – ranging from their latest golf score, their favorite recipes or videos, or an outfit that they have designed, on their social network profile or portal page, company officials say. These kinds

 

iWidgets has developed a so-called “WidgetWORA” technology which is still patent-pending and makes seamless publishing possible, company officials say. The technology also targets a range of commonly visited online destinations including social networks such as Facebook and MySpace, portals like iGoogle and Netvibes, blogs, and smart phones such as the iPhone, according to the company.

 

iWidgets are integrated as native social widgets within the Web site, so that instead of placing a square of identical, standalone Flash into destinations – something that was done in older widgets solutions – native widgets now fit the look of a destination in a better way and can integrate user data.

 

iWidgets officials say they’re going to introduce paid installs through popular networks such as RockYou and through their own inventory too, aiming at boosting the widget campaigns.
