SendMe Mobile Expands Web Footprint Through Select IAC Sites

By Anil Sharma May 15, 2008
SendMe Mobile, a mobile media company, announced today that it’s collaborating with participating IAC sites so that SendMe Mobile can deliver ringtones, wallpapers and games to visitors of the IAC mobile Web pages.

The content will include today’s pop culture sensations and niche independent creations, wallpapers featuring today’s top celebrities, and one-of-a-kind mobile games that keep consumers entertained on-the-go, according to SendMe.

“At SendMe Mobile, we’re all about giving people access to their favorite mobile content – so they can express themselves and stay entertained wherever they go,” said Russell Klein, co-founder and CEO, SendMe, Inc. “We are excited to extend our catalog reach and continue our work with IAC to deliver premium mobile content to users in new and innovative ways.”

SendMe Inc. “turns any mobile phone into a portable playground,” according to company officials. As the premier mobile media company, SendMe’s family of destination sites lets one take the fun from the Web to the mobile phone with the broadest and best content, entertainment and community out there.

SendMe’s three properties – SendMeMobile.com, SoLow.com and mbuzzy.com – deliver content from today’s pop culture sensations, niche independent creations, stuff from the community, and mobile games, according to company officials.

“As people increasingly adopt mobile lifestyles, we will continue to cross merchandise mobile products across high-demand, personalized content to help consumers conveniently find what they need when they’re on the go,” said Dinesh Moorjani, Group Vice President of Mobile, IAC. “SendMe Mobile is helping fulfill that vision by offering access to a broad selection of the best digital media entertainment in the marketplace to our users.”

SendMe Mobile in March announced $15 million in Series C growth capital financing. Led by new investor GrandBanks Capital, the Series C round also includes existing investors True Ventures and Spark Capital.

SendMe officials say they’ll use the financing to extend market share for each of its three core brands, SendMeMobile.com, SoLow.com and mBuzzy.com.

SendMe’s growth strategy will also focus on adding new premium and community-generated content, services, and applications to each brand; launching new brands to support its connected portfolio strategy; and accelerating opportunities for other major acquisitions, according to company officials.
