M2M is about getting devices to talk to each other over wired or wireless connections and then getting them to share the data without human intervention. A diverse selection of devices like laptops and modems can be connected with each other to enable a flow of data between them.
Arkessa, which uses internet technology over 2G and 3G mobile phone networks to link things with things enables a wide range of companies to offer services to end users by virtue of being able to manage, control and monitor equipment and processes remotely.
This remote connectivity and machine-to-machine specialist, has decided to expand its sales and customer service division by adding a new member to its team.
Australian born Simeon Hewitson has joined the M2M firm, Arkessa, and in the capacity of a business development executive will contribute to its continuing growth.
Simeon, who arrived in the U.K. in December 2008, has worked with many telecoms companies operating in the B2B area. His experience in sales, telesales and account management will help the company immensely in its ongoing commitment to excellence and customer service.
"I'm delighted to be part of the dynamic team that's here at Arkessa. We're excited to be growing rapidly, but I'm pleased to work in a team that values the importance of customer service even above its own success,."said Simeon.

Orrock was confident that Simeon would contribute greatly to the expansion of the business and services that Arkessa provided.
The Company was formed in 2009 from a management buyout of the M2M division of Vianet, a company based in Scotland. The new venture now has offices in Cambridge and Bishop's Stortford. The network operations and data center is established in a new facility at Telehouse London.
