Interphase Introduces Solution for LTE, WiMAX and M2M Applications

By Anuradha Shukla February 17, 2010
Embedded networking and communications solutions provider Interphase has announced its newest LTE and WiMAX technology.

The company has introduced the new Interphase iSPAN Wireless Base Station-on-a-Card featuring pre-integrated fully compliant protocol layers designed for use in LTE eNodeB and next generation WiMAX 4G networks.

This family of compact and innovative designs will be able to do a number of functions such as shrinking the base station footprint, reducing development expenses, shortening market time, simplification of the design to reduce base station expenses and creating new solutions that were previously not feasible for network equipment providers.

Interphase’s disruptive technology is based on its extensive wireless communications design experience and innovative advancements from its technology partners.

The company is displaying the iSPAN 36701 and iSPAN 36702 wireless base station products at the Mobile World Congress, at the Aricent , Mindspeed and Xilinx stands.

Interphase delivers solutions for network connectivity, interworking, packet processing, LTE, and security for key applications for the Communications, Mil/Aero, and Enterprise markets.

The company was in news last week for introducing the iSPAN 3651 AdvancedMC Channelized OC-3/STM-1 ATM-IP Interworking Card.

As reported by IoTevolutionworld, this solution is the latest gateway-on-a-card solution in the Interphase Interworking portfolio that challenges the conventional usage of external appliances.
