NetFoundry Enhances Solution by Adding Extra End Points to Allow Easier Cloud Connectivity

By Arti Loftus May 28, 2019

At the NetEvents EMEA Media Spotlight event held in Barcelona, Spain earlier this month, NetFoundry, Application-Specific Networking company, announced that its cloud-native software solution which enables businesses to connect distributed applications in any cloud, on any device, anywhere; has been upgraded so it can now be set up on almost any device with the use of a web-console or APIs to micro-segmented networks called AppWANs.

NetFoundry’s solution ensures security, reliability and high performance, without the need for outmoded networking methods such as VPNs, custom hardware or private circuits which are rigid and expensive. The only thing that is required is Internet access. Businesses can leverage NetFoundry’s solution to connect apps, IoT devices, and sites easily and efficiently into zero-trust private networks with software.

This enhancement means that NetFoundry’s solution will now function on Android devices, IoT Gateways, and via a plug-in available for container network interfaces (CNIs). Businesses are therefore able to deploy a Universal Service Mesh that connects cloud-native deployments to traditional virtual machine-based deployments together with edge and IoT, making Mesh Application Services Architecture (MASA) easy for all businesses.

“Our recent innovations bring a wealth of extra end points so we can connect anything, whether it’s cloud-native, IoT, enterprise, mobile phone or laptop, to make it a highly ubiquitous overlay for any organization,” said Galeal Zino, NetFoundry CEO. “This is in addition to all the benefits we already offer so that businesses can embrace their digital transformation and remove the traditional blockers to innovation that networks and security cause. Now anyone can innovate regardless of if they sit in IT, DevOps or the Operational Technology side of the business”.
