XmarteK Details Innovative RSM2M Solution, More

By Paula Bernier February 25, 2015

XmarteK was at ITEXPO Miami last month talking about its expansion, Lync, RSM2M, and SBCs. Juan Pablo Pazos, president of XmarteK, spoke with IoTevolutionworld on camera to provide details.

The 9-year-old company is based out of Miami and also has another Florida office in Broward. It’s also expanding into Latin America, with efforts in Buenes Aires, Colombia, and Mexico.

Among the solutions that XmarteK brings to market is a Lync in a box offer, which brings everything together in one place for customers that want to deploy this Microsoft unified communications technology.

The company at ITEXPO Miami also talked about its RuggedSmart M2M solution, which links existing VoIP systems with connected devices so the devices can send email, text, or make voice calls to communicate when a given event has occurred. For example, if a motor has stopped, prompting an alarm, the RSM2M would collect that alarm data; convert it into an understandable message; and trigger a call, email, or text to share that message with the appropriate individual.

The solution leverages software from HiperPBX and PLC hardware. And in addition to the function described above, RSM2M allows for configuration, control, and monitoring of industrial devices to do alarm activation, fault detection, information gathering, and network management.

“Last year, RSM2M was a nice thing to show to ITEXPO attendees but this year, it has turned into a complete platform of solutions in what we will call the conversion between machine-to-machine and Internet telephony,” Pazos told IoTevolutionworld at ITEXPO Miami.

Additionally, XmarteK recently introduced a new line of session border controllers, which Pazos says are the new revolution in securing voice. The devices, offered via XmarteK’s partnership with Sangoma, scale from five to 4,000 sessions.

XmarteK also has a partnership with snom, through which it delivers the company’s M65 IP DECT phone, M700 multi-cell base station, and the M5 DECT repeater.
