T-Mobile Makes Audi Connect More Affordable

By Robbie Pleasant April 05, 2013

Car phones may be a thing of the past, but they’ve been replaced with something better. Audi and T-Mobile are working together, providing a new data plan that gives Audi drivers in-vehicle connectivity for as little as $15/month.

This new data plan offers news, weather reports and even fuel prices in real time. It also provides access to Google Earth and Google Voice Local Search, so they can access information they need through the Audi connect infotainment and navigation system easily and securely.

Passengers can also enjoy broadband connectivity for up to eight devices, potentially making “are we there yet?” a thing of the past.

The Audi connect service has drawn many customers to purchase an Audi for their new cars, outranking even engine performance as a draw. This new data plan pricing is intended to draw even more customers, both current and new alike, to their data services.

Audi Connect offers routes and maps through Google Earth and Sirius XM Traffic information in the Audi MMI Navigation plus system. It also provides real-time news regarding weather and fuel prices, along with information about travel destinations, such as customer reviews, nearby restaurants and more.

"Audi and T-Mobile worked closely to develop the new pricing plan based on extensive research and feedback from both dealers and customers," said Anupam Malhotra, Senior Manager of Connected Vehicle at Audi of America. "The T-Mobile-powered Audi connect service delivers unmatched connectivity to our customers at a rate that will turn their Audi into the ultimate mobile device. This plan will help move us toward the goal of one million connected Audi vehicles on the road worldwide by 2015."

The plan was just announced, so owners of cars with Audi connect can receive 30 months of data services for $450, or less if they receive a free trial with their purchase. A month-to-month service plan is also available for $30/month.

There are many things that can make a trip or drive difficult, but Audi connect can help ease that trouble. It offers a variety of services that can make getting from Point A to Point B so much easier and more convenient, providing a wireless experience no matter where you are on the road.

T-Mobile is making it easier than ever before for Audi drivers to gain from Audi connect.
