TankLink Offers Safe Wireless Telemetry Solutions for Hazardous Locations

By Mandira Srivastava June 26, 2012

To carry on healthy M2M communication among suppliers, distributors, and production managers within an organization, TankLink has introduced the Intrinsically Safe (I-Safe) Prophet 7000 series wireless tank level gauges.

TankLink is a division of Telular Corporation, a company specializing in tank monitoring, asset tracking, and data reporting services.

According to a press release, the series includes the I-Safe 7420 for chemicals and the 7450 delta pressure system for gasoline. Both are suitable to use in Class 1, Division 2, Group D hazardous locations.

"We listened to the needs of the I-Safe marketplace and leveraged our years of experience in wireless tank monitoring to develop a series of products to meet their specific requirements," said Pat Barron, general manager, TankLink. "Now with our Intrinsically Safe 7000 series all tank data is accessible whenever and wherever our customers need it, regardless of the tank's location, safely and cost-effectively."

TankLink recognizes the power of getting information from wirelessly accessing tank data. Data driven decisions on inventory replenishment allow distributors to plan the most efficient deliveries, leading to significant savings and enhanced customer service. TankLink developed the UL certified I-Safe series to meet the National Electrical Code (NEC) for Class I Hazardous Locations where flammable gasesor vapors may be present in sufficient quantities to be explosive or ignitable, thereby allowing operators of such tanks to benefit from wireless telemetry.
