Trimble Signs on to the nPhase ONE Developer Program

By Anuradha Shukla October 06, 2011

nPhase says that this program will enable the client to utilize the Verizon Wireless mobile broadband network for their Trimble Connected Farm deployment strategy.

Trimble can leverage the nPhase ONE M2M development platform to integrate advanced M2M management capabilities into their back-office systems and applications as well as customer systems where and when required.

This is facilitated by use of Unified Web Services APIs engineered to work across Verizon and Vodafone mobile broadband networks.

Thanks to Trimble Connected Farm solution, farmers can see where their assets are this information allows them to make better decisions for time sensitive field operations.

This solution also automatically archives records in the back office for record keeping and billing.

"Trimble is a clear leader in enabling a whole new generation of 'smart farms'," said Steve Pazol, president of nPhase. "They provide an excellent example of how our respective companies are working together in solving important business and societal needs of today and tomorrow through advanced M2M. We are pleased to have them join nPhase at the 2011 CTIA Enterprise & Applications show to demonstrate the Trimble Connected Farm solution and the value delivered by nPhase and Verizon."

"The Trimble Connected Farm solution is designed for deployment in rural areas where cellular coverage has traditionally been spotty," said Ian Harley, business area director for Ag Information Management. "The Verizon Wireless network provides the best possible coverage for our target markets. This advantage, combined with nPhase advanced M2M capabilities, places Trimble Agriculture in a strong position to effectively and efficiently solve for the complex dynamic needs of our agriculture customers."
