Tartabit Eases IoT Device Makers Azure Marketplace Access

By

Market access is a major hurdle for device makers, hindering the adoption of IoT and slowing the expansion of an ecosystem of possibility.

Tartabit LLC announced two new services to its integration arsenal: Marketplace Accelerator (MPA) and the Plug and Play Accelerator (PnPA). Both are available for purchase as consulting services on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace.

“Tartabit’s Accelerator services provide a standard way for IoT Device Makers and their products to become Microsoft Azure Certified.” explained James Brehm, Founder of James Brehm & Associates.

The Azure Marketplace delivery model provides the MPA and PnPA with an easy path to buy, use and deploy. The PnPA delivers Azure Certified Device certification via testing, once certification is completed, the device is listed on the Microsoft Azure Certified Device Catalog.

"The LPWAN segment of the IoT ecosystem continues to gain importance to Microsoft as does supporting a more seamless customer experience with Microsoft Plug and Play model as well as Azure Certified Device listings on our Device Catalog,” said Tony Shakib, General Manager, Azure IoT at Microsoft Corp “Tartabit’s MPA and PnPA offerings complement the Microsoft strategy making it easier for IoT Device Makers to offer PnP level of Microsoft compatibility.”

The MPA service requires two weeks to turn around a purpose-built, low code, IoT Bridge Solution Template to support seamless integration for a subscriber’s product to Microsoft IoT Hub, Microsoft Cosmos DB and Microsoft IoT Twin, as well as PnP integration.

For the enterprise IoT service providers, the value is in seamless integration, offering easy access to IoT device data. The Tartabit IOT Bridge eases the burden of best practice.

“Today’s IoT Marketplace Accelerator announcement reinforces our dedication to the important LPWAN sector of the IoT market as well as our dedication to Microsoft.” said Fred Yentz, CEO and Co-Founder, Tartabit.

The IoT crossed the Rubicon, and there is no turning back. Ideas spurring innovation, and ease of access propelling adoption. Tartabit is playing a pivotal role in this evolution.
