Waylay Pushes Industry 4.0 Forward

By

Industry 4.0 is upon us. In recent years we’ve seen innovation across the connected devices and software analytics, adding intelligence and introducing a new day for IoT and its vast ecosystem of OEMs and service provider partners. Another piece to this evolution jigsaw puzzle is the digital twin. Essentially, software can leverage available real world data to create a virtual duplicate – think Plato’s theory of form, but far less philosophical.

IoT automation and analytics software company Waylay announced the arrival of the industry’s first zero-code provisioning portal creating digital twins of equipment to support accelerated, more efficient retro-fitting of legacy assets.

“Waylay takes the organizational nightmare out of the time consuming retro-fitting process to connect legacy equipment,” said Piet Vandaele, CEO of Waylay. “Our zero-code provisioning portal transforms installation processes. Pairing and completion of settings becomes a time efficient exercise and assets can finally get access to Industry 4.0 incentives.”

In accessing the Waylay provisioning portal, an organization can easily and rapidly manage the installation process. The digital twin software requires no coding, as it auto-populates the necessary information, with the ability to manually input information linking physical equipment to particular sensors via device of their choosing.

The digital twin is automatically initialized, and will run according to rules set in the Waylay automation platform to assist in managing and monitoring the asset.

Digital twin technology offers firm a measure twice cut once way to modernize and optimize organizational operations.
