To Build or To Buy: That is the Question

By

When Hamlet pondered the questions of life and death in the graveyard by his father’s tomb, he struggled with deciding if there was nobility in ceasing to be. When a company seeks to implement an IoT solution, the decision of whether or not to build a custom tool or platform is no less dire. It can mean the difference between a profitable execution or a boondoggle.

How then to get the answers that so eluded our Danish Prince?

In an upcoming IoT Evolution webinar, the speaker will answer just that question. The session, entitled “4 Reasons to Build Your Own IoT Solution – Or Not” will help attendees learn how their plans for IoT stack up to industry best practices.

It will take place Thursday, August 24 at 2:00 p.m. EST/11:00 a.m. PST. Click here to register.

There are two approaches companies make when implementing an IoT solution. You can either build it yourself with your chosen IT team or agency, or buy one of the hundreds of IoT platforms out there. So how do you make the choice? What factors do you need to consider?

We've consulted with companies from around the world, and will share insights with you on these questions based on the scope of your IoT deployment. In this webinar, we’ll go over how to determine the best route for your business based on your needs.

What Attendees will learn:

•           How the number and types of devices and applications will affect your implementation – statistically how does your deployment compare to best practices?

•           What IoT functionality you may or may not need, and what’s the best maintenance plan?

•           What level of security will your data need?

•           How should you attack new market opportunities when additional platform advancements are needed?

Who should attend:

•           VPs and Directors of Service, Product Marketing, Product Development, R&D, Engineering, Technical Support

•           CTOs, CIOs, CEOs, Owners, Founders
