Metalogix Names Ben Levitan New CEO

By

There are plenty of moves and shakeups happening in the IoT world lately, aren’t there? Well, let’s keep the train rolling, shall we?

Metalogix, a provider of solutions to move, manage and protect content within enterprise collaboration platforms, has announced that Ben Levitan has joined the company as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Metalogix also announced that John Duvall joined the company as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

“Over the past eight months as CEO, I've learned a great deal about Metalogix, its strengths and its people. Those factors played a significant role in choosing a new CEO,” said Abe Peled, Executive Chairman, and former CEO, Metalogix. “Ben's stellar business successes and his clear leadership skills made him the best choice to lead Metalogix's future growth and innovation.”

Levitan succeeds acting CEO Abe Peled, who will remain Executive Chairman of the Metalogix Operating Committee.

“As more and more organizations move mission critical content and collaboration to the cloud, Metalogix has a tremendous opportunity to capitalize on its leadership position built around Microsoft SharePoint and Office 365,” said Peled. “To capitalize on this opportunity, the company has already embarked on a period of significant investment, including critical additions to our leadership team.  Ben's experience, vision, and his balanced track record of sales, finance, innovation and operational execution is exactly what Metalogix needs as we embark on our next chapter of growth.”

Levitan has a technology leadership career extending over 25 years with leading companies including IMN (now Reynolds & Reynolds), EnvoyWorldWide, Inc. (now Nuance Communications), Viand Corporation, In-Q-Tel, James Martin + Company and Cambridge Technology Partners.

“The momentum in the industry towards managing content in the cloud offers the strongest opportunities yet for organizations like Metalogix that can balance the productivity needs of the end user with the security and compliance needs of the business,” said Levitan. “What attracted me to Metalogix was its unique position and heritage - 15 years of success, over 20,000 customers worldwide, a strong team, exceptional partner network and a strong product portfolio.  I am excited to leverage that foundation and help our customers master what it takes to be successful in an increasingly complex cloud-based collaboration space.”
