WiSilica Making IOT Big Data Contextual

WiSilica’s WiSe platform provides context to big data by connecting millions of devices that can understand their environments and use predictive intelligence to improve the user’s experience, reduce cost and improve efficiency. The system is designed to work locally with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and includes the ability to support smart phone applications.  Using BLE means the WiSe platform can deliver real-time presence and awareness information making better contextual choices.

The platform enables application developers to access the information to develop better policy and intuitive analysis for better user interactions. Taking advantage of the existing smartphone ecosystem and WiSilica’s proprietary mesh networking technology, the WiSe platform enables customers to easily configure smart homes, buildings, lighting, sensors and wearables into intelligent devices that they can manage via mobile apps and in the cloud.

WiSilica provides hardware modules to systems that may need connectivity to Wi-Fi or require Bluetooth to be added to control systems. Using their SDK’s for apps, cloud and devices solutions can involve beacons, smart lighting and proximity management. This lends itself to deployments in healthcare and retail operations as well as consumer strategies.

Embedded in these abilities is the gathering of the analytics to deliver context for user behavior. This makes the WiSe platform analytics the path to success for developers looking to differentiate from Boolean systems to pattern based strategies.

Using these analytics may not be the path to Nirvana, but it can bring peace of mind to many an implementation that needs to go beyond rudimentary applications.
